The Rule of Thirds

The Rule of Thirds can really help distinguish what a good photo is. Essentially, the Rule of Thirds requires the subject of the photo to be off center. The points of interest should be on two "intersections" on the grid. Therefore, the subject will be in one area and rest of the photograph will be resting space. The resting space will lead someone's eyes to the subject. Overall, this rule helps the subject of the photograph standout without being in the center of the grid.
